HOW TO SEEK PEACE
So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers” (Gen 13:8-9). A wise person seeks peace with his fellow men but wicked man brings quarrel. Many are grow up but they lack maturity. Peace is a priority, don’t mess up with it. A wise person sees danger and takes precaution but unwise goes ahead and suffers the consequences (Prov22:3).
- Humility is a secret of blessing, honor and long life (Prov22:4). Humble people ask forgiveness and are ready to forgive. For any relationship, partnership, marriage, business or project to work, there is need of humility. No matter your achievement, humble yourself (Phil4:4). Proud people destroy their relationships. They neglect people and ignore good advice. Pride is source of problems and misunderstanding. If you love peace, make the right decision. Think twice and be wise. Be humble, take advice and become wise (Prov13:10).
- Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs (1Cor 13:4-7). Everyone needs love. Love makes life peaceful and enjoyable. Love heals, builds and promotes peace. Where there is love there is respect and peace. Your love need to be sincere (Rom12:9).
- Forgiveness; bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you (Col 3:13). Forgive and be free. Forgiveness brings joy, peace and harmony. Lack of forgiveness leads to bitterness and hatred. Where there is forgiveness there is peace and progress. Forgive you will be free and your offering will be accepted (Mark11:25). Forget the past, focus on the future (Phil3:13). God forgave you , you need to forgive others as many times as possible (Matt18:21-31).
- Patience; therefore, as God’s chosen people, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility and patience (Col 3:12-13). Be slow to anger (James1:19). A patient person seeks peace and has great understanding (Prov14:29). If you are not patient you will have problem with people. If you are not patience you miss your miracle, destroy your relations and quit your dream. Be patient with everyone (1Thes5:14).
